This model was created by Alvaro Luna Bautista and Joel Andersdon. And it was provided for the Natural History Lighting challenge.
I have visited the Museum a year ago, and got enchanted by its architecture, I found this model just by browsing the net and got caught up with the task to visualize it in real time.
At first the model is pack with mirror and instance objects, this present a challenge when you want to display it in realtime engine. I have took the laborious task to flip back to normal all of the mirrored objects, after that since no textures where provided, I made a couple textures from my pictures I took last year and did a simple but yet ok texture mapping.

Notice that the floor is not really wood in the real museum, but I want it to test RENDERLights new mirror reflection system, and im quite happy how far we have managed to get it working.

Well I give credit for the modelers they did a good job, and hopefully they will get to see this video some day on this channel. If you want to know more about RENDERLights please vist www.renderlights.com.

Leveraging over a decade of visualization and software development experience, 3D Render today
announced the release of RENDERLights Viewer. Building upon their widely successful RENDERLights
software, architects, visualization artists, and designers now have access to a real-time virtual reality engine
on the popular Google 3D warehouse platform.

RENDERLights Viewer

RENDERLights for SketchUp brought real-time to the masses with unprecedented real-time performance,
radiosity lighting simulation, Google 3D Warehouse integration and the shortest and easiest learning curve
of any virtual reality application on the market.  RENDERLights viewer for Google 3D Warehouse will give
users the same unique way to view and experience Google 3D Warehouse models for free.

“RENDERLights viewer is easy to use, it allows everybody to see your Google Warehouse models in real
time.”, Douglas Triana VP of 3DRender states. “It gives you better understanding and whole new
perspective to your design. Basically it enhances your view from typical flat 2D viewer to real 3D world.”

The Google 3D Warehouse is a free, online repository where you can find, share, store, and collaborate on
3D models. This is the easiest way to share your model of a place, with the millions of Google Earth and

“By using these Google 3D Warehouse Models with this new viewer, you become part of your model and
